Welcome to my fishing trip - charter page. My 7.05m Fyran Centre consul MV 'Billy' has now been fully approved and has been issued with a Safe Ship Management Certificate. Below are our rates for various fishing trip options. Due to my very busy schedules, booking is essential. We specialise in Rockhopping / landbased fishing holidays.
Rockhopping trips using my Fyran centre consul 'Billy' as transport to the rocks. Boat trips are available.
Rockhopping weekends: There are lots of fishing opportunities off the rocks. Some of the biggest snapper ever have come from the rocks.
Our unique 7 Day rockhopping holiday fishing Gt Barrier Island: We do a 7 day landbased fishing adventure to Gt Barrier Island for EIGHT (8) fishers fishing in and around the Fitzroy Harbour area. Included in the costs is accommodation, meals and of course the fishing with Bill as your personal guide and skipper. Fishers just need to bring surfcasting or rockhopping rods and reels and their tackle. If you don't have any fishing rods we can provide them at $50 hirage each for the trip. Bait is included in the costs, although we will be netting a variety of fresh bait as well. The group will be staying in 2 self contained apartments at Arama, in Karaka Bay in Port Abacrombie which is ajacent to Fitzroy.Arama is a unique holiday complex in Karaka Bay sheltered from all winds and has a wonderful outlook over the bay. The group leave on the Sealink car ferry at 8am Monday and travel to Tryphena. We will be taking our boat, and 2 vehicles on the ferry as well. We arrive at Tryphena around 11am and then travel on to Arama arriving at around 1pm. We settle into our accommodation and depart for a quick look around the area at the probable fishing spots around 3pm. 6.00pm evening meal. Then Tuesday through Saturday we fish the area. Fish caught will be filleted and iced down in marked bags to take home at the end of the holiday. We need 8 fishos as a group to make this happen. 2 groups of 4 friends perhaps, or just 8 mates, or even treat it as a team building exercise for your staff. The group is divided into 2 teams of 4 and the competition begins, with some great prizes for the winning team. The costs are from $140 a day to $180 a day depending on the time of year. We can arrange a Monday to Friday Company Team Building exercise at Gt Barrier Island using the same format as above. Lots of fun lots of challenges.
Weekend rockhopping trips to Coromandel
We take weekend rockhopping trips to Cape Brett, staying at Coromandel. We leave as a group from Auckland on the Friday afternoon at a prearranged time and travel to Coromandel. We fish the Coromandel area on Saturday and Sunday. We pack up and return to Auckland at 3.30.pm on the Sunday. The minimum number of fishos for this trip is 4 the maximium is 8.
The costs are: 4 fishers $600 each - 5 fishers $510 each - 6 fishers $450 each - 7 fishers $394 each and 8 fishers $375 each and this includes transport, accommodation, meals nd the fishing with Bill as your personal guide.
Fishers just need to bring rods and reels, tackle and 4kg pillies each. Also a sleeping bag and pillow may be required. Fish caught are iced down for the return trip home.

Day boat fishing trips: Bill is available for day trips but usually during the normal week period from Monday to Friday. Bill is very busy with a range of activities during the normal week so bookings are essential. Bill can take up to 4 fishers. Fishers need to bring rod and reel - tackle - 2 kg pillies per fisher. Bill departs Sandspit at approximately 8am and returns at 5pm. Times outside 8 - 5 can be arranged but Bill thinks 9 hours on the water is enough. The cost is $600 divided by the group of 4 or 5.

Corporate Charters
We also can arrange your corporate charter for your overseas clients or company get together or conference after match activities. We can get the right boat, organise the catering, and supply all the gear including rods and reels, bait, tackle etc and I will come along as the fishing guide. Costs depend on the degree of luxury required.
